It is necessary to minimize the amount of impurities and oil particles in the measured compressed air. In case of possible condensation due to changes in temperature or water content, it is recommended to regularly check and clean the VPFlowScope DP measuring device. For permanent installations, it is also recommended to check the operating conditions, by checking the VPFlowScope DP meter during the first year of measurement, at the following time intervals: 1 week, 4 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 8 months and 12 months. This will determine the required maintenance interval for your flowmeter.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">VPFlowScope test<\/h2>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>We recommend regular testing of the status of the VPFlowScope DP as a good habit. We recommend performing a simple check by observing\/analyzing the flowmeter measurements.<br>In case of unexpected behavior when measuring gas flow, pressure or temperature (e.g. negative or extremely high numbers, oscillations and fluctuations), it is possible to conclude about:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><p><\/p>\n<li>state of the compressed gas flow system or \/a<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>status of the flow meter.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p><\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>When testing the condition of your compressed air (gas) system, check the condition of the compressors, filters and dryers in your compressed air (gas) system. Check the condition of the filters<!-- wp:list --><br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><p><\/p>\n<li>Filter white and dry: OK: Continue using VPFlowScope DP<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>Brown and wet\/greasy filters: BAD: filter replacement required<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p><\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p><\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p><\/ol>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} --><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><p><\/p>\n<li>2. Replacement procedure (see pictures)<!-- wp:list --><br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><p><\/p>\n<li>(1a) Remove both old filters from the probe and discard. DO NOT USE OLD FILTERS. Or (1b) remove the filters (new type) from the probe.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>Inspect and clean the surface. If it is dirty: remove all residues with acetone.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>Place the filters back (2x)<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>Using tweezers, gently press the edges of both filters to ensure proper bonding.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>Place the rear o-rings. Make sure they are correctly placed in the probe. Put the unit back together and pressure test it to make sure the seals are tight.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p><\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p><\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p><\/ol>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>NEVER APPLY ANY LUBRICANT TO THE SEALING RINGS AS LUBRICANT CAN CAUSE UNDESIRABLE CLOGGING OF THE MICROPOROUS MEMBRANE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>If the flowmeter was originally fitted with an old design white filter, follow the same procedure but on the probe part instead of the transmitter. Replace the new filter even if the quality appears to be satisfactory. This applies to part VPA.5100.003 for VPFlowScope DP up to SN 5103650. When the self-adhesive filters are separated from the probe,&nbsp;<strong>they must never be used again.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENTION: In case of an unsatisfactory condition of the flow meter or filters, a simple cleaning can be carried out as described in the section below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Probe cleaning<\/h2>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>You can clean the probe locally using one of the two methods described below: \u2022 Blowing clean (compressed) air through the probe; \u2022 By flowing clean water through the probe. For both of these cleaning options, the probe, the sensor housing, as well as the white filters must be separated from the probe as described above in the VPFlowScope test section. The tip of the probe can also be separated from the probe by unscrewing the screw on the tip. Please refer to the diagram below to properly understand the mechanical parts of the VPFlowScope DP (transmitter not shown).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Once the filters and tip are separated from the housing, the interior of the probe is first visually inspected for any foreign contents such as oil, water or debris. Based on this check, a cleaning method is selected and performed from the three procedures described.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Under no circumstances should the housing and filters come into contact with water.
